With more than 30 locations serving Michigan and two in Indiana, we are your local title and closing provider, no matter where you or your customers are. Our local offices are also able to service transactions for Wisconsin, Ohio, and Florida.

William (Bill) Van Hulle is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Transnation, where he is also a member of the Executive Board and a Principal Officer.

Bill, a founding member of Transnation since its inception on July 2, 2008, previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer. With over thirty years of experience in the finance and title industry—including roles at a CPA firm and a major underwriter—he brings extensive industry knowledge and seasoned leadership to his role.

Since 2008, Bill has been proud to contribute to Transnation’s growth and success. One of the most rewarding aspects of his tenure has been witnessing employees thrive within the Company’s collaborative environment. He remains committed to fostering this culture while leading Transnation into the future.

Outside of work, Bill enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and golfing.

Becky Malone is the Chief Residential & Commercial Officer for Transnation Title. Becky manages the Grand Rapids and Lakeshore Divisions. In addition, Becky oversees the residential and commercial operations for all company Divisions – Central, Mason Burgess, Great Lakes, Metro, Northern, St. Clair, and Ann Arbor. Becky is an industry leader who applies her decades of experience to mentor our team members and encourage growth throughout our organization. She lives in Rockford with her husband, and their dogs. When Becky’s not in the office, she enjoys reading, running, riding bikes and spending time with her dogs.

Lavinia Biasell is Transnation Title’s Chief Legal Officer and has over 2 decades of experience practicing real estate law. She has experience litigating title insurance claims and coverage disputes, underwriting for a national underwriter, and managing the day-to-day legal needs of a title agency and its customers. Lavinia is active in her professional community through her service with the Michigan Land Title Association, and she volunteers as a board member of the Spring Lake Schools Foundation in her local community.

Tim Burgess is the Division Manager for our Mason Burgess and Great Lakes Divisions. Tim has spent decades serving the Genesee County area. As a charismatic and strong leader, Tim and his team pride themselves on building relationships and satisfying customers. When he’s not at work, Tim enjoys golfing and travelling.

Richard Garnaat is the Chief Information Officer at Transnation Title. He has more than two decades of experience working in the title industry. He has a passion for working with new and emerging technology and takes pride in using innovation to come up with trusted customized solutions for our team and our customers. Richard is a Lansing-area native but splits his time between our Lansing and Grand Rapids offices.

Kate Schuetter started her career in title insurance in 1995. She has extensive experience in the title insurance and real estate industries and currently serves as our Northern Division and Wisconsin Manager. Kate has been instrumental in establishing and growing Transnation Title in the Upper Peninsula. She finds great joy working with her team and providing top-notch customer service to our customers. When she is not with her coworkers and customers, she enjoys taking advantage of all the U.P. has to offer. Kate, her husband, and children, love the great outdoors and are avid snowmobilers, RZR riders, and enjoy fishing.

As the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Transnation Title Agency, Renee leads the HR strategy, operations, and compliance for a multi-state title insurance company comprising over 300 employees. With over two decades of experience in human resources, Renee held senior positions at Transnation Title Agency and Acrisure. Her expertise spans employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and talent acquisition. She is certified in both SHRM-CP and PHR. Renee is  dedicated to cultivating a positive, diverse, and inclusive workplace that promotes employee engagement, development, and retention. Collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, Renee aligns HR initiatives with business goals and values to drive organizational success. Her goal is to advance the growth and prosperity of Transnation Title Agency and its workforce through innovative and impactful HR solutions.
