Not to brag, but three Michigan cities have made it to the top of housing lists recently! Two appeared on the top 20 hottest housing markets in the U.S and one on the top 10 best and most affordable places to retire.
According to data compiled by Realtor.com®, Traverse City is number one on the retirement list based on its nice weather which allows you to participate in fun activities like boating and pickleball! There is always something cool going on in the city! To learn more, explore this visitors page. Of course, we knew all this already thanks to our conveniently located office right in beautiful Downtown Traverse City!
On top of that, homes here are very well priced with median prices being $390,000 which could leave you some money to head south when it does get colder.
Monroe sits at number 9 and Saginaw is ranked number 17 on the hottest housing markets list, also from Realtor.com®. This was determined when looking at market demand measured by views per property and the number of days a listing is active. The hottest market overall was Manchester-Nashua, New Hampshire.
Both cities had below national average median listing prices, with Monroe’s being $245,950 and Saginaw’s at $174,450.
Either city would make a great place to live, with plenty of fun activities to do and beautiful views to enjoy. To learn more about what there is to do in Monroe, check out their visitors website. The city hosts a farmer’s market and has a zoo where you can view exotic animals. Saginaw, too, has no shortage of awesome opportunities, including boat tours and a castle!
