With both the Wolverines and the Spartans off to a hot start on the gridiron, it’s safe to say all of Michigan is talking about football rankings right now. That is why the Transnation Title team wanted to draw your attention to another set of rankings this year: WalletHub’s top real estate markets in the country.
We would’ve had our base city a little higher on the list, but Grand Rapids was the first local city to appear on the list, which is cause for celebration. A total of 18 metrics were used to compile a city’s score out of 100. Our city scored 59.08. Some of those measuring sticks were days on the market, foreclosure rate, housing affordability and population growth rate.
The next highest ranked Michigan city was Sterling Heights, which came in at No. 101. The top of the list was dominated by cities in growing states such as Texas and Arizona. Guess WalletHub doesn’t subscribe to the saying, “Midwest is best,” but the Transnation Title team and our customers surely do.
We’re proud to be a local employee-owned company that is dedicated to our Michigan cities and towns.
